...10 things...

10 things you may not know about me..
  • I'm quickly becoming a fan of audio books. Sometimes music in the car just does not cut it; I need more entertainment and audio books do a good job of that.
  • I would be happy moving to the middle of nowhere (for a few years).
  • I over analyze things, it's just what I do. This one gets me into trouble a lot. I'm sure boyfriend can attest to this one.
  • I would rather eat dirt than eat broccoli cheese soup.
  • I'm a teensy weensy bit scared of the dark. Come on, there really could be something lurking under the bed or in the closet.
  • I enjoy the show Cops. Call me what you want, but it's a good show.
  • I'm afraid of wiggly, squirmy or flying things. This includes bugs, birds and small animals. Please see ...forever and a day... I've been known to freak out if a ladybug/butterfly/bee(understandably)/grass hopper/toad gets too close.
  • I can get a little defensive when I'm told what to do. This one also gets me into trouble. Oops.
  • I want to donate a huge chunk of money to an animal shelter.
  • I like bulleted lists. Wait, you already knew that.

...forever and a day...

Alright, it's been forever. I thought about blogging just about everyday for the past 3 weeks, but just couldn't get myself to do it(don't ask why...it's not a hard task).

Scout started puppy class. It was originally supposed to be a small class of three. Everyone but us cancelled, so we're now getting private lessons. Worked out perfectly! He's been doing well. It's all positive clicker training....do you know this means we're not supposed to say 'no'? Ummmmm......do you also know how hard it is to not say 'no' to a 7 month old puppy? We're told to redirect his attention when he's being naughty. Not sure what we're supposed to do when visitor friend comes over with herbs(yes L, it was dill weed...my absolute favorite) and a carton of eggs and he jumps her, spilling her goodies all over. I'll have to check on that one, but I'm pretty sure his kong can't handle that situation. Other than the jumping, he's turning into a well behaved, smart cookie.

Work is work. I've realized I have a love/hate relationship with it.

Time spent with boyfriend is fantastic. We've been fishing a lot lately. And by fishing I mean me holding the fishing pole while boyfriend does all the work.....well, I guess I cast it too. Other than that, all fishing tasks are done by boyfriend - worming the hook, "de-fishing" the hook, driving the boat, telling me where the good spots are, cleaning the fish, etc. First off, holding a worm? Maybe, if my life depended on it. Tearing a worm apart and putting it on a hook? Nope. Too many gooey parts. Secondly, taking the fish off the hook? Ha! I won't touch a worm, do you really think I'll hold the fish and take it off the hook? Try again!!! Actually, I'm getting better and have contemplated holding one. We'll see. Could I be any more of a whimpy girl? It has been lots of fun though. At least I can wear my polka-dot rubber boots and use my black and pink pole :)
